CANADA QUITS KYOTO ACCORD! US should condemn it as WELL!

Canada did something sensible the other day, immediately after the conclusion of the Waste of Time in Durban:  It renounced the Kyoto Climate Accords:

Mr. Kent said staying in Kyoto would force Canada to spend about $14-billion buying carbon credits abroad because the country is so far behind in meeting its targets. He blamed the previous Liberal government, saying it agreed to targets without a plan to achieve them.

“Kyoto, for Canada, is in the past,” he said, confirming that the government would invoke its legal right to withdraw from the agreement. He predicted other countries will follow suit.

Other countries should follow suit.  The US should also repudiate any treaty that requires us to answer to foreigners.  But that’s another reason to vote Paul January 3 in Iowa.  But check this out – India and China have condemned Canada’s withdrawal:

China’s official news agency, Xinhua, blasted the decision as “preposterous” and “irresponsible” action that will scar global climate-change efforts. An Indian official said the move would jeopardize any gains that might flow from weekend talks in Durban, South Africa toward a new agreement.

Of course China and India wanted to make sure Kyoto did not include them.  I don’t know why they even bothered to ratify it.  But the USA is right to to do so and should condemn it AND support Canada’s effort.
